What is Vanpooling?

Vanpooling is a service for groups of 5-14 people who live and/or work nearby one another or along the same route. They can save money and driving time by riding together most days and sharing van costs, with one person volunteering to drive.

Vanpooling is becoming a populat option for companies and is growing due to incentives from the federal government. If your business subsidizes a vanpool for employees, you may be able to deduct the expense from your taxes, even if your contribution takes the place of part of the employees' pay.

In addition to tax benefits, vanpooling prevents costly high turnover rates by providing reliable transportation to and from work.
