Mobility Management of South Central New York

MMSCNY is an ongoing collaboration between the Rural Health Network and a host of partner organizations in Broome and Tioga Counties.  Together, they seek to improve transportation access and coordination in the Greater Southern Tier Region, with particular regard to the area's rural communities.

MMSCNY's flagship program is the Getthere Call Center.  It provides FREE trip planning, travel training, and transportation education services to people throughout the region and beyond.  Getthere is staffed by two Mobility Management Associates who are well-versed in the area's transportation options and eager to assist anyone with travel needs or questions.

Who We Are
Mobility Management of South Central New York (MMSCNY) is a collaborative effort to improve mobility and the coordination of transportation services in Broome and Tioga Counties. Partners include health and human service agencies (private and public), and mobility management professionals.
 
Our Funders
MMSCNY is funded in part by the Community Foundation for South Central New York - The Harriet Ford Dickenson Fund; the AmeriCorps National Service Program; Tioga County Public Transportation; and with in-kind contributions from MMSCNY partner organizations.
 
Get There Call Center
The first initiative of the MMSCNY is a one-stop transportation and mobility call center. Those in need of transportation information and who may need assistance in planning their transportation are able to call toll-free at 855-373-4040 and get help. The call center is located at United Way of Broome County and is operational as of January 2012.
 
Travel Training
MMSCNY Mobility Management Associates will provide training to groups that work closely with those in need of transportation and mobility services. They will also provide direct travel training to individuals in order to help familiarize them with public transportation routes.
 
In preparation for the call center service, the MMSCNY provided a series of training programs to Mobility Management Associates, volunteers, and partner agencies from October through December 2011.

MMSCNY works closely with Broome-Tioga Greenride to enroll more subscribers to this web-based ride-sharing service.
