National Drug Take Back Day

April 30, 2016
10am-2pm

 

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is free and aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

Acceptable medication includes anything from aspirin to controlled substances. Needles and liquids will not be accepted.

Collections will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 10am-2pm at the following locations:


Broome County Sheriff's Office

The collection times at the following Broome County locations will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m:

- Broome County Sheriff's Office - 155 Lt. VanWinkle Dr., Binghamton
- Windsor Community House - Main St., Windsor
- Johnson City Elks Club - 4212 Watson Blvd., Johnson City
- Scoops Ice Cream Parking Lot - Route 11, Whitney Point
- Vestal Fire Station #4 - 3341 Vestal Parkway East

Chemung County Sheriff's Office

The collection times at the following Chemung County locations will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m:

- Southport Volunteer Fire Department, 1001 Carl St., Elmira
- West Elmira Fire Department 1299 W. Water St., Elmira

Chenango County Sheriff's Office

The collection times at the following Chenango County locations will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m:

- Afton Town Hall - 204 County Road 39 in the Town of Afton
- Otselic Fire Department - 1577 State Hwy 26 in the Town of South Otselic

Otsego County Sheriff's Office

People can bring their unused medications to the Otsego County Public Safety Building at 172 County Highway 33W in Cooperstown from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Corning Police Dept.

People can bring their unused medications to the Corning Police Department at 500 Nasser Civic Center Plaza Suite 13 in Corning from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Johnson City Police Dept.

People can bring their unused medications to the Johnson City Police Department at 31 Avenue C, Johnson City from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
