Health Benefit Marketplace is Topic of Information Session

OXFORD - An information session will be held at the Oxford Memorial Library on the topic of the Health Benefit Marketplace in New York State and how you can get help enrolling in health insurance.

On Thursday, November 7, at 6:30 p.m., Chad Eldred, the Navigation Contract Coordinator from the Southern Tier Independence Center, will give a presentation at the Oxford Memorial Library on the New York State Health Benefit Marketplace.

The presentation will last approximately an hour and will explain the New York State online portal for purchasing health insurance and how an individual, family, or small business can receive assistance in enrolling through the online portal. There will be time following the presentation for questions and answers.

The Southern Tier Independence Center (STIC) is providing In-Person Assistors, also known as Navigators, to assist individuals and small businesses in purchasing health insurance sold through the New York State of Health online marketplace. Navigators are available by appointment to assist the residents of Chenango County enroll in a health insurance plan sold through the NY State of Health marketplace. To make an appointment with a navigator, call STIC's toll free navigator line at 1-855-478-4262. The STIC navigator offices are located at the CHIP building at 27 W. Main St. in Norwich. Parking is available on the Maple Street side of the CHIP building. The entrance for the STIC offices is also located on this side of the building.
